Alka was born in India before relocating to America in her 20s nearly three decades ago. She is from the North Indian region of Punjab, known for its tradition of spiritual syncretism, vibrant culture, and hard working people. She long benefited from meditation and other spiritual practices from the East before deciding to share them with others. She aspires to be a positive force in the wellness journeys of all those who she meets.

Today she lives on the North Shore of Long Island, and is always inspired by living on the water and being the caretaker of her special needs son.
